Overview
As much as I enjoy capturing sharp, detailed moments on digital Arri and RED cameras for professional work, there’s something incredibly freeing about picking up a 16mm film camera, pulling the trigger, and hearing the quiet purr of Kodak film passing from reel to reel. There’s no pressure to review footage on the spot. Only a simple reliance on what I see through the viewfinder while framing the world around me. I’ve been blessed to travel around the world with 16mm cameras — from road trips to the West Coast & Washington State, to global excursions across Canada, Finland, Italy, Austria, Germany, and places in between — bringing people, places, and moments to life on celluloid film. Available above, I’ve put together a simple collection of escapades captured on 16mm film from over the years.
